Levi's Chair

I finished up Levi's chair last night and just put on the first coat of Danish Oil. There was a moment or two thinking about using Milk Paint to finish, maybe the next one.

The next question is how to get the chair to Houston before he is too big to use it.

  1. How to ship:
Take off all four legs and four seat spindles. Flat pack then ship Pony Express.
There you go, problem solved. Oh, and dont forget to insert the Allen key in the package, cause thats how flatpack furniture comes in :-)

Bob, sipping his morning coffee. Honey, what did you put in it ? :-)

    1. Bob,

Yep that's the way to do it...now where did I put the Allen key.

The last thing I shipped to Houston arrived damaged. That's the bad news, the good is I paid for UPS to pack it. Still waiting on the insurance.

  2. Hi Ken,
Chris Schwarz recently had a blog post on how he ships chairs. Might be some ideas for you there. BTW glad you had a nice trip to the PNW.

    1. Banlanman,

Thanks for the heads up. After the last experience I expect the next shipment will be in something similar.

It is hard to have a bad trip in that part of the world :-). Even when everything goes wrong the beauty makes it better and this year little went wrong.
