I'm still Sorting It Out

Relief, Joy, Sadness, and Hope.

Relief because in a little over two months Trump, his evil spawn, and enablers will be out of power. Joy because the fear has gone. Sadness over 70,000,000 Americans voted for the evil bastard after four years of knowing who he is. Hope because seeing the dancing for joy around America and noticing the age of most. The future, if we make it, will be better once my generation dies.

I hope the vermin will crawl back under the rocks from which they came in 2016 and I never see another fat fuck ridding a scooter in Costco wearing a "Fuck Your Feelings" T-shirt.

Mazel Tov,

    Your quietness in the last weeks had me wondering about your state of affairs. It seems you are still kicking.

    I have to disagree with your vermin comment. My hope is that vermin can learn to be less verminlike. When vermin ideas are concealed it gives the impression that all is well when it isn't. The last 4 years wasn't a new level of these ideas, just an exposure of them.

    I don't have high hopes. 80 years later there are still adherents to Hitler's ideologies and they keep that amongst themselves.

    1. Steve,

      Still alive and kicking, I've been working the back side of the clock. It shouldn't matter, hours are hours but it tends to kick my ass and not much gets done when on that shift.

      I now believe the only cure is for them to die off and if the demographics of the coming generation hold they will, at least to a level to have no power. A "browning" world may save us, even pasty white guys that can't dance like myself.

    1. I love it, MsBubba and I had Champagne and chocolate cake in the back garden to celebrate. Along with a few hoops, hollers, and a Texas Two Step around the patio.

  3. How do we know for sure that he didn't try to rig the election (again?) and just didn't make it. I was and I still am surprised that the election was as close as it was. BTW I agree with all the nice things you said about him.

  4. Ralph,

    As far as I know most mail ballots are hand counted, much less chance to screw with 'em. Unlike voting machines and even more important there is a paper trail.

    Unlike 2016 most Democrats voted early and by mail.

  5. Let's hope he doesn't try again in 2024.
    I have no trust in electronic voting; unfortunately we use in Belgium. In the time of paper voting I have been a few time designed to be presiding a counting office. Most people tried to escape to what they see as a chore. If we were to reverse to paper, I would be happy to spend again 6 or 8 hours to count the votes of 3 ballot boxes.

    1. Sylvain,

      Thanks, it should be watched by everyone.

      I trust our system here in AZ. as far the mail ballots. Paper with a signed envelope and a way to check if your ballot has been accepted. If it wasn't for some reason, a way to correct it.

      I think they use a scanner to record, wish it was by hand but at least there is paper for recounts.

  6. Mail voting:
    1- people must vote only once;
    2- nobody vote for for someone else (or somebody already dead);
    3- anonymity must be guaranteed.
    I hope adequate measures have been taken.
    The most difficult is the number 2.
    Signature or finger-print database?
    For number 3, a detachable ticket like for incident reports?

    1. Pat,

      Thanks, glad you enjoy the blog. Sometime in the next couple of weeks I expect I will be posting about an easy break down shave horse. One that will fit in the bins of the motorhome along with the Moravian workbench.
