Coffee Table Finished
The coffee table is finished. Well almost, I still have to attach the top which I will do tomorrow. I've had enough fun for today, my back is yelling No Mas No Mas followed by Cerveza Por Favor. I think I'm going to listen.
For this build just some nice straight grain Oak dowels that I had on hand. If I'm worried about strength or do not have good dowels available then I will make my own.
Thanks Siavosh, Up until it was finished I wasn't sure if it would pass SWMBO's muster and end up at Goodwill vs. the living room. I can quote, "I don't like Walnut. It's too dark and cold" plus "We do not need a coffee table. Why are you making one".
I think the old gal likes it, she has her feet propped on it while watching TV as I type.
Looks nice Ken.
ReplyDeleteDo you use smooth pegs or rived octagonal ones for the draw bore?
Really nice. I like the contrast.

Thanks Andy, I'm starting to like the look of Beech when used with something that has pattern or contrast and I love working with it.
