Over on SMC there is a thread dealing with shop aprons. I never really thought about it much, they are just part of the shop that I use when needed. I have several canvas ones and a couple of leather ones, the photo is of a leather apron I've had for years. I almost always wear it when sharpening iron for several reason, foremost is keeping MsBubba happy but also the leather and a fat belly make a great strop when chasing the burr.

That's were I went wrong all these years, never wore an apron much and to Heather's chagrin said body parts, clothed, sure are handy when sharpening :-)
ReplyDeleteI trust Mrs Bubba is home safely
Bob, winging it with Rudy tonite, shes off to tend to her mother
Bob,
DeleteYep it is either a shirt or apron that gets the oil and swarf, MsBubba is much happier when it is the apron vs. the new shirt she brought home the day before. BTDT way too many times.
The old gal made it home late Sunday afternoon, too tired to fuss much so we kinda passed inspection. Give Rudy a scratch for me and Mags.

Hello Ken, I was wondering if you have heard of this woodworking beginner program before? https://wantedsecrets.com/woodworking It looks like a great program to help people start woodworking, I am just looking for some opinions before I make my decision. By the way, I love the content you have been posting lately!
