I've finished the bench move and have most thing in their place. I'm amazed, surprised, and damn happy with the outcome of the moving. When started I hoped it might open up a little extra room but did not expect it would be much if any. Well chisel breath I couldn't have been more wrong. I have a ton of open space, with open feed line for the power tools, and in general a work space that should increase my efficiency.

DeleteAin't that the truth. In Houston I had a 20'X40' out building with a nice wood floor, big double doors on the side and one end, and lots of windows for my shop. Wish I had something like it here but there is no room to build unless I put it on piers out over the gully.

DeleteToo much truth, even though I doubt either of use could really follow thru :-).
Even though yesterday on my way to work it was 105F, it is starting to cool down here as well. Nights are cool enough to open the windows and cool the house down. In a few weeks it will be time to fall in love with the desert and Tucson again.
Good luck, it is hard to find the correct combination that saves space and still allows work.

DeleteLook at it this way: Now you can have those famous "desert sunsets" without driving to Arizona. Although it is a shame you have to breath the crap to get the sunset.
The good news, at least for Oregon, is it has cooled off and the Fall rains have started. CA, who know when they will get control.
