Short stretchers 8/4 stock.

I'm not sure what it weights but I expect north of 200lb. but less than 300lb.

ken

ken I'm a OK guyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11843155822153452980noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12079088.post-24650428385199336882018-12-07T09:21:24.598-08:002018-12-07T09:21:24.598-08:00Thanks,
What did I change, short answer not much ...Thanks,

What did I change, short answer not much other than dimensions. After the first couple of builds I realized what a favor Will did in following the original so closely. The original builders knew what they were doing. Each joint is the quickest and easiest to make that does not compromise the build. The bench is really paired down to just the essence of bench, change anything and I expect the bench would lose that perfection.

kenI'm a OK guyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11843155822153452980noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12079088.post-9579671542142003702018-12-07T07:58:31.384-08:002018-12-07T07:58:31.384-08:00Beautiful bench! This seems like a perfect shop bench, there's something about the Moravian lines that just do it for me.

Great work!Philhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16949981077081167515noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12079088.post-53487952272163313012018-12-06T16:14:25.342-08:002018-12-06T16:14:25.342-08:00Steve,

The chair may be a slow build with an initial line starting tomorrow and then Houston until after the 1st. Whatever I'm looking forward to a build that will not kill my back.

kenI'm a OK guyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11843155822153452980noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12079088.post-54854511801404336922018-12-06T16:07:09.924-08:002018-12-06T16:07:09.924-08:00Thanks Bob,

That would free up space for your next bench build, too.Steve Dnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12079088.post-69616669744154662772018-12-06T12:13:40.271-08:002018-12-06T12:13:40.271-08:00Oh, and matching angles on the shave horse, nice t...Oh, and matching angles on the shave horse, nice touch :-)

Bob, sipping a beer, nurturing his back.
